Stephanie A. DiVita, Esq. is a Partner at Braaten & Pascarella. She has focused her practice of law in the areas of personal injury/general and products liability matters since 1998.
Ms. DiVita has gained extensive experience in the defense and management of several Fortune 500 companies in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Ms. DiVita handles both the local and national mass tort defense of various companies throughout the United States including the representation of numerous premises owners, as well as, manufacturers, distributors and installers of a multitude of products. Ms. DiVita assists in the management of the nationwide asbestos toxic tort defense for several companies and has extensive national coordinating counsel experience. This role includes overseeing and developing the companies defenses in its asbestos personal injury litigation.
In addition to her work on the national level, Ms. DiVita plays an active role in the local defense of several companies in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These aspects include extensive experience in taking depositions, motion practice, court appearances, trial preparation and trial. She assists in the training of junior associates and local counsel on deposition skills and defense strategies.
In addition to her strong litigation background, she has developed processes to stream-line mass caseloads and has created a productive and cost effective environment that pleases her clients. Ms. DiVita's relationship with her adversaries and respective special masters and judges in each of these jurisdictions has earned her recognition as a strong but fair litigator.
