Timothy Coughlan, Esq. is a senior associate who assists in the defense of our clients in New York and New Jersey. Presently, Timothy actively assists in our role as national counsel for multiple Fortune 500 companies and participates in the defense of more than 30,000 asbestos cases presently pending in New York and New Jersey.
Timothy's prior experience includes representing corporations and individuals in civil litigation including: premises liability, real estate, construction, consumer insurance litigation, products liability, and toxic tort matters pending in both state and federal courts throughout the country. This experience includes analyzing and preparing all facets of case defense from initial pleadings to trial and settlement including: conducting oral and written fact discovery; consulting with causation experts and assisting in the preparation of expert reports; preparing dispositive and pre-trial in limine motions; and participating in trial proceedings, court hearings, alternative dispute resolution and settlement conferences.
